Therapeutic/Swedish MassageRelaxing Swedish Massage by "A Foot Above"

Swedish Massage uses a variety of techniques to relax the muscles and increase oxygen flow in the blood.  This helps to release toxins from the muscle, which aids with overall health.

Swedish Massage stimulates the nervous system and soothes the nerves.  It can reduce both emotional and physical stress and is often suggested for help with stress management.

What happens in a therapy session?

At your first consultation you will be seen by a registered, qualified and experienced Therapist, who will initially take a full medical history and conduct a full body assessment before discussing with you any areas which are of particular concern, for example a recent non-sports related injury, bad back, stiff neck etc.  Your full body massage will then begin, with particular attention being paid to problem areas.

The initial session will last 1½ hours including your full body assessment and the massage treatment recommended by the Therapist.  Second and further treatments will be 1 hour in length.
